If you don't have an inch of space in front of your toes, you can loose your toenails if you walk long distances.
What are those black snip toe boots you were wereing?
Those first pair of boots are nice
you cmera man sucks
Damn good info, Thank You!!!
Great video just got my first pair of Justin work boots never going back to shoelace boots
When talking about the instep, how “snug” should “snug” be? I’ve seen a lot of videos say “like a firm handshake,” which leaves me to wonder - can there be like a slight space between the instep and your foot, OR should the instep be tighter to your foot?
Ideally, in my mind, snug means no slack. Remember the instep is what’s holding your foot in the boot, so if there’s slack, your foot will travel up and forward, creating excessive heel slip and rubbing. You also have to factor in a bit of leather stretch as the boot breaks in. How much leather stretches can vary with different skins and tanning processes.
What brand and model are the green?
@ :10 Western boots? The difference between cowboy boots and western boots is that the cowboy boots have the horse shit on the OUTSIDE. 😂😂😂
I know he mentioned this applies mainly to Western boots, but does this also apply to lace up boots and Chelsea boots ?
Same for Chelsea but not necessarily for lace ups. Instep is not as critical on a lace up because it can be adjusted (tightened or loosened). Width is just as important. Heel may not slip as much with a lace up, again, because you can tighten it down, though you may still have some slip until you break in the soles. Hope this helps!
@@GulottasVideo Perfect, thank you, just bought some Chelsea boots and wasn't sure if the heel slippage was too excessive, this helps ! :)
The best explanation I’ve found so far. Thank you.
You're very welcome!
I love them all
Very informative video but is it too late to get your money back from your barber?
Yeah, I think 4 years is the max!
All Great Boots there,Snip toe & round toe i like,What are the Black Boots you are wearing? Are they Comfortable for every day wear How long have you had them?
These look so much better than the ugly white sneakers everyone is wearing
Not easy for me if go mexico because where good quality, need width andxsize also problems with vat, sale, international taxes.i asked somebody question in mexican boot store from yourube but no response.they have google spanish translation to english.still no excuse.
Sometime somebody prefer real gator boot.
Waste of money. I bought these and the boa lacing broke after 4 months, I got replacement mailed in and fixed the side that broke then the other side broke 2 months later and after I fixed the other side, the rubber bottom started coming off in the back, glued it back in place then it came off in the front so I glued that then it just fell off one day at work and shortly after the other sides started coming off then after a couples months the lacing broke again. Didn't even last a year
Man how did you even find them?! They haven’t made them in almost 3 years
I live in Guam and there aren't any boot shops that I know of. So I have to risk it with online purchases.
GREAT VIDEO...LOS ALTOS WIDTH IS NARROW...GET ALWAYS EE WITH LOS ALTOS
❤
How freaking hot is this guy?! Call me!!!
Im trying to find pull on work boots and IM a big dude and I cant find any thatll fit I wear a 13 W but I didnt know anything about the EE etc. because I cant get my heel to pop into it
I honestly didn't think they were actual ostrich skin. Wow. Lol. So the elephant boots are also real elephant skin?
They sure can be! Though a bit harder to find these days, for multiple reasons. Also leather companies have gotten REALLY good at making elephant prints on leather, so if you see an elephant boot and it’s under a few hundred dollars, it’s probably printed cowhide.
I thought elephant real skins on rio Mercedes, other brand????.
So leather sole is better? My leather sole boots are so slippery. Lol.
Depends on what you like and what you’re walking on. Most of my boots are leather soled, and I don’t find them slippery. But I’m not walking on ice or mud very often heh.
@@GulottasVideo you are correct. This happened when I tried to walk on ice with them.
Thank you for the advice. What make and model are the black ones you wear? Regards
Those are shaved stingray, Lucchese Classics in a snip toe. Thanks for watching!
@@GulottasVideo Thank you for the reply. They look great, that very thin broken texture gives it depth and reflects light just from certain angels and it looks realy smooth because there are not these big broken chunks like with lizard, crock or ali. With that toe style, perfect every day vibe. Any recomendadion where to by from europe? Always an issue that high quality and originality from the US is hard to come by. Because ordering/ trying several to find the fitting one means heaps of import tax/ shipping fees/ returning /restocking fees etc. Again thanks.
@@johnnyknoxville5003 Oof, that's a tough problem. Lucchese has some gorgeous boot options in that look, but not seeing any stingray available. Maybe a bullhide, or ranchhand (if you want smooth) would work for you. Those are significantly less than exotics. Shipping fees must eat you alive out there 😬
It is realy difficult to find any good boots and especialy exotics. Well Lucchese and the other big brands are kinda available but just here and there. Yeah but import tax is realy killing it, for EVERY item... totaly misled protectionism in my oppinion.
How do you (this guy) just slip of his boots so easily? I always have to use brute strength or a boot jack
I must be blessed. If you have a tough time getting in and out, but the boots fit good when wearing, you may have a high instep or lack of mobility in your ankle. Sometimes a little stretching of the instep of the boot will alleviate that problem. Hope that helps!
@@GulottasVideo Wow you got it right! I do have a high instep i just discovered this about me and I also have flatter feet. Thank you 🙏🏼
@@MeToo-py1tq The more you know!😁
@@GulottasVideo Knowing is half the battle right?
I almost bought a EE but the seller told me if I use D then EE might be too wide but with my D Boot it fits a little tight.
They shouldn't be uncomfortably tight. Especially in the width.
Great video i'm a nine and a half also
#sizebuddies
Well done
Thanks!
Hey Luke, what kind of black boots are those that your wearing?
shaved stingray, Lucchese Classics
Double H Ice Out Soles are the best!
Can't argue there!
👍👍👍👍😮😮😮😮🤠👋
Made Inn china👎
I need to replace my bolt and my wire how do I contact them so they can replace them?
Can anyone who sees this maybe place a link on the leg boots? I'm in the market for some and those a gorgeous
LOVE this... 1-3 perfect...love #4
Dang. I learned a lot. Great video, and thank you.
👌
Без субтитров ничего не понял , но прикольно.
Should my boot hit my heal a little like a flip flop?. It's a noticable but not to drastic. These new Redwings I just bought does it. But the other two things happen when I put them on. The instep bends before putting them and the pop.
Sounds like they just needed to break in. Any luck?
Wich boot was the 1st one you went over??
The first pair on your left, my right, is a full quill ostrich by Ariat.
Thanks for fast response and great video explaining, subscribed
Also you have an opinion on best ostrich shoe by brand.. Dan post, ariat??
@@Drew-gx7ig thanks for the sub! I wouldn’t say one is better than the other. Most of the brands like Dan Post, Ariat, Justin, Tony Lama are on the same level it really comes down to styling and particular things you like about each boot. If you don’t have a favorite brand, don’t pay much attention to them and just try for yourself. It’s what we do.
Hard to find size 9 high instep, wide D all leather.
Those legs are badass
Dang.... you slip in and out of boots SO easy. I just got a pair off ebay, nice boots but I can't get my heal anywhere NEAR into the things. Is there a size for the cuff? upper part of the boot that I need to look for? Not shoe size, but that tube my big ankle is somehow suppose to go into?
Late reply, I know, but I'd look for something with a short shaft, and a deep scallop. But no, there aren't sizes for shaft diameter.
@@GulottasVideo Hi, I finally got the things on, but it IS a struggle. Don't wear them often, just my going out duds. Only ever owned boots once before and those were a royal pain to get on too.
I love the black boots you are wearing when the video first starts, I love Cowboy Boots on guys. Just wish I could pull them off for you at the end of a long day. I bet they smell awesome, I love the smell of warm leather.
Nice collection of boots!
Thx man.
Thanks Mary
I am in love😍😍😍
I like my boots but it seems like it’s too loose/big for me it is my first pair of boots so I wasn’t too sure on what I was looking for
